Zeke Hausfather (PhD ’19) on climate change reality and hope

ERG Alum Zeke Hausfather, Climate Research Lead at Stripe and Research Scientist at Berkeley Earth, published an opinion piece in the New York Times, outlining the dire realities of the acceleration of climate change and the hottest year on record while still sharing some hopeful findings that can show us a path forward. “We are far from on track to meet our climate goals, and much more work remains. But the positive steps we’ve made over the past decade should reinforce to us that progress is possible and despair is counterproductive.
