Sailing for Climate Change

Watch ERG Ph.D. candidate, Jessica Reilly, as she sails along the Latin American coast, collecting stories on climate change:

“When I’m talking about climate change, I’m talking about the hazards related to sea level rise… this could be things like erosion, inundation, storm surge… but it could also be dengue fever, this could be displacement of populations, this could be changes in cultural norms. … I would also like to explore why some communities are better at adapting than others; and if so are those adaptation solutions transferable to other places.”

The video was produced by Jessica Reilly and Josh Moman. Jessica is a fellow of ICWA. Read more about Jessica from her ERG student spotlight here and from her feature on UC Berkeley’s Graduate Division website here.
