Valeriya Azarova

Dr. Valeriya Azarova is an Economist at ifo Institute – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, Center for Energy, Climate and Resources since 2020. Before joining ifo Institute, she has been a researcher at the Energy Institute at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. She finished her PhD in 2019 and specialized in various aspects of energy transition and climate change mitigation. Her current fields of specialization are Climate and Energy Economics. She is published in leading journals such as in Nature Energy, Global Environmental Change, Energy Economics, Applied Energy, and Energy Policy. Her ongoing research projects focus on estimation of climate change impacts on mental health and wellbeing and impacts of endogenous technological change on energy transition.
