UC Berkeley scientist and ERG Alum Patrick Gonzalez has been appointed by the White House as an assistant director for climate and biodiversity. Gonzalez will work to help execute the climate plans declared by President Biden, like the “30 by 30” conservation goal and net zero emissions by 2050.
