Sarah Sarfaty Epstein receives the 2025 Switzer Environmental Fellowship

Our very own Sarah Sarfaty Epstein was 1 in 19 environmental leaders awarded  this years’ Switzer Environmental Fellowship! This program of the Robert and Patricia Switzer Foundation awards graduate students a $17,000 cash award and leadership training to support their education and career development at universities in New England and California. The 2025 fellowships total $328,000 in awards.

A Master of Science candidate at ERG, Epstein’s expertise in Climate Change, Conservation Science, Energy Resources & Access, Environmental & Social Justice, Sustainable Agriculture & Food Policy, and Water Resources allows her to contribute to projects surrounding the food system, rural development and energy resources. With an interest in landscape-scale climate resilience decision making in California’s agricultural sector, her current research uses geospatial analysis to create decision support tools at the groundwater basin level in California.
