Rachman Setiawan

Rachman Setiawan is a Master’s student for the Energy Resource Group, focusing on energy sectors. He worked as an engineer in a Solar PV company where He conducted surveys, analysis, and design potential Solar PV projects in Indonesia. He was also a research assistant at University of Indonesia, helping to implement sustainable biomass power plants in Indonesia. He is interested in research on Energy Transition, Energy Business, Biomass, Solar PV, and Social Equality through Energy.

Before joining ERG, Rachman got a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from University of Indonesia (UI) where He completed his thesis on a Mobile Biomass Gasifier Power Plant for a Rural Area in Indonesia. He got a patent and publications from the project.

Rachman’s professional internship interests are in the energy market, renewable energy projects (both bidding and construction process), and data science in energy. For research internships, he is interested in energy policy and modeling.
