Annika Luo

Annika is a Master’s student specializing in sustainable transitions and industrial and political ecology. Her research on commodity chain analysis examines the environmental health and labor practices in Southeast Asian textile and apparel production and global textile waste.

Before ERG, Annika worked at the intersection of fashion design, sustainability, and supply chain in New York and China. Her efforts included sustainable-related grant-making, educational events, and research reports. She graduated from Parsons The New School, where she studied Fashion Design and Environmental Studies.

Annika would like to connect with ERGies for research collaborations and summer internships. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. She lived in Vancouver, New York City, and Shanghai before moving to Berkeley.
