Elena Bell

Elena is a second-year MS student interested in equitable natural resource management relating to agriculture and forestry. She has seven years of experience working at the intersection of agriculture, finance, and development in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French across private, academic, NGO and public sectors. Prior to joining ERG, Elena worked at The Nature Conservancy for five years, most recently as an Impact Investing Manager providing environmental and social impact technical advice to agriculture, water, and timber impact investing funds. Before TNC, she was a Fulbright scholar in Brazil researching the influence of agribusiness on family agriculture water use in Rio Grande do Norte and teaching English classes at the state university. Most recently, Elena was an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellow at Tyson Foods developing a Climate Smart Commodities Partnership underserved producer strategy. Elena graduated from Tufts University in 2017 with a BA in International Relations.
