Nick Clarke

A Discrete-event Simulator to Determine if Public Transit Buses Go Battery Electric Today (MA ’20) A native of Utah, Nick holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Westminster College in Salt Lake City. He has focused his career on real-time environmental monitoring, previous working at Oberlin College and Lucid on energy and resource monitoring. Prior to ERG, he lived in China, first as a Henry Luce Scholar in 2015 focused on kitchen waste biogas projects and then as the Product Manager for QLEAR, a real-time air quality IoT platform in Shanghai. At ERG, he is interested in continuing work on monitoring and sensor systems, as well as exploring energy efficiency, renewable energy solutions and novel applications for such technologies in both the developed and developing world. Outside of his work he is an avid backcountry skier, mountaineer, and cyclist exploring remote corners of both the western US and western China. Resume
