Aneesha Manocha

Aneesha Manocha (she/her) is a PhD student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley in the Energy Resources Group. She is particularly interested in developing optimization methods and macro-energy system models to plan decarbonized energy futures. More specifically, she aims to research how to prioritize historical environmental injustices in modeling frameworks.

Aneesha was a Kanders Churchill Scholar at the University of Cambridge, receiving an MPhil in Public Policy with Distinction. She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University, majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering with certificates in Sustainable Energy, Environmental Studies, Statistics and Machine Learning, and Optimization and Quantitative Decision Science.
