As a pre-med and environmental history student in undergrad, Nat De Jonge has always been broadly fascinated by the intersection between human and environmental health. While he is a bit of a generalist having worked on research projects in epidemiology, agroforestry, and ocean governance, De Jonge is focused on fields of climate adaptation and resilience as my primary research interests. He is drawn to their cross-cutting promise to improve both human and environmental conditions in a changing world. De Jonge hopes to contribute to the democratization of the climate policy-making process through research that incorporates local knowledge and expertise.
De Jonge has been making and selling ceramics since high school and just joined the Potters Studio here in Berkeley. Also, he loves all things outdoors (hiking, climbing, skiing, etc)!
Prior to joining ERG, De Jonge attended Amherst College. He has worked with National Institutes of Health, World Wildlife Fund, and Pew Charitable Trusts.
