Lily is a Master’s student in the Energy and Resources Group. Her research focuses on expanding utility access for medically vulnerable and low-income American communities. Lily’s work is also concerned with labor justice during the renewable energy transition. She is passionate about community research methods which build power and increase political participation.
Prior to joining ERG, Lily worked as a grant writer for the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco, the largest provider of free legal services for low-income people in Northern California. She also worked as a community organizer for the George Wiley Center in Rhode Island, where her team developed and advanced policy to protect seriously ill and disabled energy consumers from shutoff and unaffordable bills.
Lily received her Bachelor’s degree from Brown University, where she studied Urban Studies and French and Francophone Studies. In her free time, she enjoys painting, drawing, gardening, and hiking.
