Portia is a MS student in the Energy and Resources Group. She is interested in extending energy access to areas without electricity.
As an Electrical and Electronics engineering bachelor’s degree holder, her interest in energy related issues stemmed from the erratic power supply in her home country; which beyond other reasons results from inadequate energy generation.
Previously, Portia built her knowledge and experience through internships with the Electricity Company of Ghana and several other personal projects. Her prior project focused on optimizing the tilt angle of solar panels to optimize energy trapping.
