Simone Speizer is a PhD student in the Energy and Resources Group at UC Berkeley. Her research interests center on air pollution and climate impacts, and especially their intersections with health and equity. She is interested in examining how climate adaptation and mitigation measures can be designed both to fit community- and place-specific needs and to further air quality and equity goals. Prior to ERG, Simone worked in climate and energy research and stakeholder engagement at the Joint Global Change Research Institute of the Pacific Northwest National Lab and at the Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program. She holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Stanford University.
