student : Joachim SeelMS, PhD

Joachim (Jo) Seel is a Ph.D. student at UC Berkeley’s Energy and Resources Group, where his research focuses on electricity market design and on the integration of high shares of intermittent renewable generation. He is a Researcher at the Electricity Markets and Policy Group at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, analyzing the development of wind and photovoltaic markets.

He holds a MS of Energy and Resources and a Master in Public Policy from UC Berkeley. A native of Hamburg, Jo came to the Bay Area from the international Jacobs University in Germany, where he studied environmental policies and international relations.
