Course: ER 170 Environmental Classics
Les Guliasi is a Research Associate in the Sociology Department at UC Santa Cruz, where he teaches courses on the environment and climate change, in addition to the Energy and Resources Group’s Environmental Classics course. His main area of interest is the political economy of energy and regulatory policy. Les received his B.A. in Sociology from UCLA, followed by graduate work at UC Berkeley and UC Sant Cruz, where he received his Ph.D. Les also serves as President of the Power Association of California.
Students he has lectured were inspired to establish a campus-wide climate coalition and organized a successful student-led climate change conference. Other former students have participated in projects associated with Rachel Carson College's Sustainability minor.
