Transforming our World: The United Nations, Sustainable Development and Climate Action

With the adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda and corresponding Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) in New York this September, the international community will face the challenge of determining how best to successfully implement this new framework. We invite you to a symposium that will showcase how the environmental dimension is being integrated into the SDGs and the post-2015 framework, and what it will take to ensure a climate accord at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) conference in Paris at the end of this year. Featured speakers will include key representative from the UN, government, academia and non-governmental organizations who will focus on critical issues such as climate chance, global air quality, oceans and marine debris, and the illegal trade in wildlife.
